WOW!!! what a day! Well we went on our Tahoe Luncheon Cruise on the MS Dixie ll. There were 31 in the group. If you’ve never taken that cruise it’s a must. Well of course, we took our knitting. It was a Knit n’ Rip Group. Most of us were knitting socks and some knitting other things. there was also a birthday person with us and of course, we sang the B’day song. We have quite a diverse group and that makes us very SPECIAL!!!
Alright all you bobby socks hoppers, hot rodders, poodle skirt, ponytail and vaseline slick back hair; it’s HOT AUGUST NIGHTS dress up time. I’m going to look like Lucy with curlers in my hair. What are you dressing up as. Where I lived, which is back East, I don’t remember doing all that stuff–hey I was a City Girl.
On to other things, my garden is doing well have 1 huge bell pepper, some tomatoes, itty bitty eggplants no zucchinis yet. I will still attempt to grow purple potatoes–the system my honey told me to use did not work; only stunk up the kitchen. I should have done it my way, just stick it in the dirt and go for it.
Crumb bunnies!! I am still working on my spare bedroom. Now I have to paint it. Got the paint from my daughter-in-law–she had extra; don’t care what color it was free. When I finally get it all done, I will share.
OK, HERE ARE PICTURES FROM THE CRUISE; These are a few of the people in our group–can’t put everyone. Oh, for those of you who haven’t seen Lake Tahoe, the water is just like the ocean, blue-green and clear and tall pine trees surrounding it.

Tall majestic pine trees surrounds the lake. The haze you see in the background is smoke from the California fires.

Clear ocean in the middle of the desert

An Island in the middle of the lake with a house which was built in the 1920’s

How did these three get into the picture lol
Wow, where has the time gone! I was about to write my Rodeo experience and we’re already into July. Ok so I am not much of Hee Hawing but we had free invite to the Reno Rodeo, can’t pass up free. It was VIP type; food, drinks and an escort to where we were suppose to sit. Food was great–furnished by Pinocchio. We had great seats right up front couldn’t ask for anything better. Will be sharing some of the pictures taken.
This has been the second time I went to the Rodeo.
RODEO PICS:

Update on my efforts on cleaning up my spare bedroom from all that stash…hahaha!! getting there. Now, I have decided to paint the room, boy what I’m getting myself into.
Next update, finally planted my garden, tomato, bell peppers, eggplant, zucchini. Also, went to the farmers market and got some purple potato, I am getting them started then put them into the ground hopefully will have home grown potatoes.
